MICROBE-LIFT/NITE-OUT II is designed specifically for ponds that contain fish and other aquatic life. Its highly-specialized microbial consortium of nitrifying cultures are specially formulated to eliminate ammonia via a natural biological process termed nitrification. The cultures contained in ML/NITE-OUT II will establish, promote or stabilize and maintain nitrification in the pond waters, eliminating the toxic effect of ammonia.
ML/NITE-OUT II liquid nitrifying bacteria contains select strains of Nitrosomonas sp. and Nitrobacter sp. Nitrosomonas sp. convert ammonia to nitrite and Nitrobacter sp. convert nitrite to nitrate.
ML/NITE-OUT II comprises select microorganisms that are autotrophic, requiring an inorganic source of carbon for growth and multiplication. For this reason carbonate alkalinity levels should be maintained at 75 mg/L or above so nitrification is not limited by the availability of inorganic carbon.
Nitrite is produced by beneficial bacteria in the pond and the filtered breakdown of harmful waste ammonia, it is still very damaging to the health of fish.
DIRECTIONS
For optimum nitrification and ammonia removal, first treat your pond with MICROBE-LIFT/PL. ML/PL contains select cultures to reduce organic levels that may inhibit the natural nitrification process. Because nitrification requires adequate levels of alkalinity, check the pond water's pH level and, if necessary, adjust it to be in the range of 7.2 to 8.4. Wait 24 hours and add the recommended rate of ML/NITE-OUT II to a well aerated section of the pond, ie: waterfalls or water return area. Use ML/NITE-OUT II when your pond water temperatures are above 55°F. Turn off UV-units, protein skimmers, and ozone generators for 3 days.

NOTE: Shelf life is 12 to 18 months depending on storage conditions. For maximum shelf life store in a cool place. Refrigerate 38°F - 45°F if possible. DO NOT FREEZE. Shake well before using.
CAUTION : Keep out of reach of children. Wash hands after use. If eye irritation occurs, flush with water for 15 minutes. Do not take internally. |
